Data Deletion Policy

Your Right to Delete: You can delete your LootDay account and all associated data at any time directly within the app. This process is immediate and irreversible.

1. How to Delete Your Account

Delete from the App (Recommended)

1.Open the App: Launch the LootDay app on your device
2.Go to Profile: Tap your profile icon
3.Delete Account: Scroll down and tap "Delete Account" (red button)
4.Read Confirmation: Read the confirmation dialog
5.Confirm: Tap "Delete" to confirm

Alternative: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at:

Please include:

•The email address associated with your account
•Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

We will process your request within 7 business days.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All of the following data will be permanently removed.

2. What Gets Deleted

3. Events You Created

If you created birthday events that are shared with the community:

•Events with no other subscribers: Deleted completely
•Events with other subscribers: The event remains for other users, but your identity is removed and replaced with "[deleted]"

This ensures that other users who subscribed to events you created don't lose access to that information.

4. What Happens to Aggregate Data

When your account is deleted:

•Subscription counts on events/cards are decremented
•Vote counts (thumbs up/down) are updated
•No personally identifiable information remains

6. After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

•You will be signed out of the app
•You will see the welcome/landing screen
•You can create a new account at any time
•Your previous data cannot be recovered

Note: If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your LootDay account does not affect your Google or Apple account. It only removes your data from LootDay.

7. Guest Users

If you used the app as a guest (without signing in):

•Your data is stored only on your device
•Uninstalling the app will remove all data
•You can also use the "Delete Account" button to clear all local data

8. Data Portability

Before deleting your account, you may want to note down any birthday perks or information you wish to keep, as we do not currently offer a data export feature.
